Puppies are KUSA Registered.

What started out many years ago as a love for and want to reproduce my beautiful Labradors led to my eventually achieving my dream of obtaining a well bred Beagle.  From there I went on to seek out a suitable female (not an easy task!).  And so my darlings Thornwick Pennyjet (Snoopy) and Daniela (Liaka) came to have their first litter.

We have been breeding Beagles for the past 19 years, producing companion dogs with excellent temperament, form and health.

Our Beagles are an integral part of our family and are included in all family activities, live indoors, have their own “lounge” furnished with their own couches!  They share the main house with their human family and have the run of a large garden area (1,900 sq. meters).

We choose the best matings possible to optimise the chances of producing genetically sound stock that conform to the breed standard with a confident yet gentle temperament.

A designated nursery is set aside and designed for the arrival of each litter where the prospective mother and I move in a week before the litter is due.  They LOVE this special treatment and a real time of bonding takes place.

Once the pups are born I spend 24/7 with the litter and the mother to ensure all is well and to begin the important gentling and training the pups need to go through.

Pups are raised using Puppy Culture Protocols. The program consists of structured protocols based on  specific developmental timelines in the young puppy. 

Puppies are introduced to “clicker training” at 7 weeks.

KUSA is a voluntary association comprising of members on whose behalf KUSA maintains the registers and records of ancestry and health test results.

Whilst Members are expected to adhere to a code of ethics, KUSA cannot guarantee that any registered dog or subsequent progeny are free from any inheritable conditions nor any standard of quality or performance. Therefore, it is imperative that you do thorough research and an in-person visit to any breeder before purchasing a puppy.

NB: Please always have a contract drawn up with the breeder when purchasing a puppy as KUSA does not get involved in any disputes.
