Although a bit farther down the South Coast, Ocean Trails offers another fantastic opportunity for beach horse riding, conveniently accessible from Durban. Upon mounting your horse, a skilled guide will lead you down a brief path that leads to the beach at the Wild Coast Sun. Immersed in nature, you’ll encounter a range of fish in Thomson’s Lagoon, accompanied by a diverse array of birdlife. Continuing your journey, you’ll traverse a petrified forest, especially visible during low tide (be on the lookout for ancient fossils!). With more natural wonders awaiting, the rest of the sights are best experienced firsthand.
