GRABOUW ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY

Grabouw Animal Welfare Society (GAWS) has been working tirelessly in the Grabouw\Elgin community since 2012. Our community is varied and consists of townships, urban suburbs, farms and wide-open natural vegetation areas. We therefore get involved with an assortment of animals and various cultures of humans and which requires effort and dedicated volunteers.

GAWS is a non-profit organisation which is fully self-funded and receives no Government or local municipality funding. We rely heavily on the support of our local community and dedicated volunteers.

Our Mission & Goal: Our mission is to curb the ever-increasing problem of an over-growing population of unwanted and suffering animals! Our Goal is to make a difference. • Sterilisation • Education • Rescue, Treatment & Rehabilitation of sick animals • Feeding when food is available • Rehoming our township & street animals to loving owners
