Deer Park Café

A neighbourhood favourite that opens onto a public park overlooking the city, shaded by stone-pine and yellowwood trees.

Their menu changes regularly but with Ashton and their chef/manager from Goa, there is always authentic Indian dishes, as well as vegan and vegetarian options, a fresh pasta, choice of hand-rolled, wood-fired pizzas, and a popular children’s menu. Free-range, fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. Good coffee, wines, craft beers and cocktails.

They are open daily, 8am to 9pm in winter, 8am to 10pm in summer. Please note that weather and bad hair days may affect hours! On busy summer days please pack a picnic blanket and patience – if all tables are taken, order pizzas to enjoy in the park.
