I entrusted Pam with my 7 year old bulldog as we were going on holiday. He went to her this morning. This afternoon he died through neglect and failure to timeously get medical care. It was an intensively hot day in Durban. She messaged saying he was having difficulty breathing. I asked her to take him to the vet if necessary. She didn’t rely. 2 hours later she sent a WhatsApp saying he’s no longer breathing. He had died. She failed to take necessary steps to prevent the situation arising and when it had arisen she failed to seek medical attention. The matter is being referred to the SPCA with a view to a prosecution
