{"id":31732,"date":"2023-04-05T22:58:08","date_gmt":"2023-04-05T20:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pets24coza.bigscoots-staging.com\/services\/listing\/https-www-secretstaging-pets24-co-za-services-listing-vanros-beagles\/"},"modified":"2025-11-24T20:47:27","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T18:47:27","slug":"vanros-beagles","status":"publish","type":"listing","link":"https:\/\/pets24.co.za\/services\/listing\/vanros-beagles\/","title":{"rendered":"Vanros Beagles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Puppies are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kusa.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">KUSA <\/a>Registered. <\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>What started out many years ago as a love for and want to reproduce my beautiful Labradors led to my eventually achieving my dream of obtaining a well\u00a0bred Beagle.\u00a0 From there I went on to seek\u00a0out a suitable female (not an easy task!).\u00a0 And so my darlings\u00a0Thornwick\u00a0Pennyjet (Snoopy) and Daniela (Liaka) came to have their first litter.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>We have been breeding Beagles for the past 19 years, producing companion dogs with excellent temperament, form and health.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Our Beagles are an integral\u00a0part of our family and are included in all family activities, live indoors, have their own &#8220;lounge&#8221; furnished with\u00a0their own couches!\u00a0 They share the main house with their human family and have the run of a large garden area (1,900 sq. meters).<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>We choose the best matings\u00a0possible to optimise the chances of producing genetically sound stock that conform to the breed standard with a confident yet gentle temperament.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>A designated\u00a0nursery is set aside and designed for the arrival of each litter where the prospective mother and I move in a week\u00a0before the litter is due.\u00a0 They LOVE this special\u00a0treatment and a real time\u00a0of bonding takes place.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Once the pups are born I spend 24\/7 with the litter and the mother to ensure all is well and to\u00a0begin\u00a0the important gentling and training the pups need to go through.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Pups are raised using\u00a0<strong>Puppy Culture Protocols.<\/strong>\u00a0The program consists of structured protocols based on\u00a0 specific developmental timelines in the young puppy.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Puppies are introduced to &#8220;clicker training&#8221; at 7 weeks.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>About KUSA: <\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>KUSA\u00a0is a voluntary association comprising of members on whose behalf\u00a0KUSA\u00a0maintains the registers and records of ancestry and health test results.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Whilst Members are expected to adhere to a code of ethics,\u00a0KUSA\u00a0cannot guarantee that any registered dog or subsequent progeny are free from any inheritable conditions nor any standard of quality or performance.
