Meerensee Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1990 as a branch practice. In 1994 Dr Pierre Singery took over and slowly expanded the practice. In 2004 the practice moved to its current location and was purposefully renovated to accommodate a fully-fledged Veterinary Hospital that can accommodate up to 52 patients.
Dr Pierre Singery qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1983 and is the owner of Meerensee Veterinary Hospital. He was born and educated in Empangeni. Dr Singery qualified at Onderstepoort then worked in Durban and Hillcrest. He then returned to Zululand.
Dr Singery completed his Honours in 2008 specialising in Ophthalmology, Radiology, Clinical Pathology and Anaesthesiology. He also travelled to the United States to attend a course on avian medicine and has attended numerous post graduate courses including cardiovascular medicine, Orthopaedics and Dentistry.
