Since 1988, I’ve been pioneering clicker training in South Africa, and feedback from fellow trainers worldwide suggests I might have been the first to introduce this method to the African continent. While I can’t confirm this definitively, I’ve yet to encounter anyone in South Africa with a longer tenure in clicker training animals.

Clicker Training Concepts, rooted in Johannesburg, South Africa, operates on the principles of operant conditioning. My journey began as a dog handler, initially employing the traditional method of positive reinforcement mixed with compulsion, before transitioning to the innovative approach of clicker training.
