After serving in the South African Army Woman’s College (SALVKOL) and the SANDF, followed by a brief period in accounting, I ventured into the field of behavior and training in 2001. My journey commenced with studies in Companion Animal Behavior at the Technikon of Pretoria.
In 2003, I successfully completed the rigorous three-year Tellington Ttouch™ Course, achieving certification as a Level 1 Certified Practitioner for companion animals.
An invaluable phase of my career unfolded during an 18-month internship at the Cape Animal Behaviour Centre in Cape Town, mentored by the esteemed Mike Wood. Under his guidance, characterized by exacting standards, analytical thinking, and a scientific approach, I laid the groundwork for my methodology in behavior modification. Following the internship, I continued at the center as an associate consultant. By the end of 2004, I took the leap to establish my independent consulting business.
