Hart Behaviour emerged in 2017 under the guidance of Ashleigh Hart-McCafferty, a seasoned companion animal behavior consultant.
“From a young age, my fascination with animals of all varieties has been a driving force in my life. Growing up on an Eastern Cape farm exposed me to a diverse range of pets, from the usual dogs, cats, and horses to less conventional companions like sheep, goats, cows, and even rats. It’s where I’ve always felt most connected and at ease.
Initially pursuing a career in film, a pivotal moment arrived in 2014 when I felt the need for change. Driven by my lifelong desire to work with animals, my relocation to Johannesburg marked the turning point. Determined to turn my passion into a profession, I enrolled in COAPE SA’s diploma course. Having successfully completed the program, I am now a COAPE qualified companion animal behaviorist, affiliated with CAPBT SA.”
